Call for Proposals
Invitation to submit proposals for Focus Events:
Special Sessions, Workshops, Tutorials, Short Courses, Industrial Forum
Focus events will be an integral part of the EMC Europe 2012 and include Special Sessions,Workshops, Tutorials, Short Courses and Industrial Forums.
Proposals on any EMC related topic are invited. The purpose of focus events is to highlight hottopics or emerging new technical fields that are gaining importance in EMC.

The number of speakers and session duration of focus events will be negotiated, after acceptanceof the proposal, with the conference organizers. As suggestion, a recommended duration of afocus event (or a part of this) should be of one hour and 45 minutes including 4-6 speakers withdifferent affiliations.
The participation of attendees to focus events is included in the Symposium registration fee.Speakers, authors and organizers of focus events must be normally registered to the conferenceby the final submission deadline.
Special Sessions
A special session is a technical meeting to present and discuss at high scientific level a very hottopic of interest for EMC Europe attendees. The special sessions require submission of writtenpapers that will be reviewed by anonymous referees and, if accepted, they will be published onthe IEEE Explore digital library. Prospective authors of special session should submit their fullpaper (4/6-page, 2-column) by March 15, 2012. The papers should be electronically uploaded tothe web site of the Symposium (www.emceurope2012.it) within the authors' complete address forcorrespondence.

Workshop & Tutorials
Workshop is a technical meeting to present and discuss at high scientific level a hot topic ofinterest for EMC Europe attendees.
A tutorial is a seminar session given by one or more excellent researchers to present and criticallydiscuss the state of the art in a hot topic of interest for EMC Europe attendees.
Workshop and tutorial presentations require the submission of written material (papers orslides) that will be collected in an electronic support and distributed to the attendees. Workshopand tutorial presentations will be not included in the IEEExplore digital library. Short Course
A short course is an educational session of intensive tuition given by one or more tutors to asmall number of participants, mainly students, in a topic of interest for EMC Europe attendees.The duration and time collocation must be negotiated with the conference organizers. Shortcourse presentation requires written material (notes or slides) for distribution to the workshopattendees. The written material will be collected in an electronic support that will be distributed tothe attendees, but there is not any publication on the IEEExplore.
Industrial Forum
An industrial forum is technical meeting dedicated mainly to industry people to present anddiscuss a topic of interest for EMC Europe attendees. The duration of the industrial forum must benegotiated with the conference organizers. The presentation of written material is optional. Purecommercial presentations are not allowed.
