Final Paper Submission

Guidelines for Final Paper Preparation and Submission

The final manuscript must be prepared and uploaded in PDF format. According to the new IEEE Xplore Requirements for PDF, all conference articles submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore must adhere to the IEEE Xplore PDF specification for compatibility. To this aim, IEEE PDF eXpress must be used to assure the compatibility with IEEE requirements. Then the PDF paper must be uploaded to the conference portal Conftool. The final paper must be uploaded by 30 May 2012. Each submitted paper requires an early registration of an author by 30 May 2012. The procedure for final paper submission is described in the following.

Steps for final paper submission:

Create manuscript taking into account reviewer’s recommendations and using IEEE template for conferences available at http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html.  Paper length must be 4-6 pages.

Proofread and check layout of manuscript.

Create IEEE PDF eXpress account at http://www.pdf-express.org using Conference ID: emceurope2012x.  Extensive instructions, resources, helpful hints, and access to technical support are reported in the site.

Upload source file (DOC, LaTeX) for conversion or PDF for checking.

Use IEEE PDF eXpress to attain IEEE Xplore -compatible PDF.

Upload final, IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF using the EMC EUROPE 2012 submission paper portal Conftool (http://www.conftool.com/emceurope2012/index.php). After login in Conftool, you must select “Your Submission” and then  select “Final Upload”.

IEEE Copyright: IEEE policy requires that prior to publication all authors or their employers must transfer to the IEEE in writing any copyright they hold for their individual papers.

The new IEEE e-copyright form feature is now enabled in Conftool. I remind you that the author must sign the IEEE Copyright Form to transfer ownership of the copyright rights in the work to the IEEE. Without signing the IEEE Copyright Form, the paper will be not published on the IEEE Digital Library.

Please enter in your author session in Conftool, select "Your Submissions" and then select "Electronic Copyright Form". After clicking on "Submit Contribution Details to IEEE to Start the Signing Process" you will be linked on the IEEE Electronic Copyright Form web pages that you must interactively compile. Deadline is September 5, 2012.
